Starry Night Sky
This is the album cover. It shows the slhouette of a man stood with his arms outstretched. He's wearing a party hat and blowing a party streamer. In front of him, a mushroom cloud lights up the night sky. The album title 'Looking Forward to the End' is displayed along with the band name Bilge Music Project.

Debut album out now

'Looking Forward to the End' is now available via all good streaming services and some shite ones. You can buy a digital version on Bandcamp if you're lovely.

Blending alt-rock, art-rock, prog, metal, post-punk and electronic rock.
Then adding some social commentary & self-examination/recrimination.

About the band (plus Press Kit)

Bilge Music Project are two people who play instruments, mostly at night. They currently work together, only separated by 90 minutes' travel at the speed of sound. The music created is truly collaborative, with each being involved in the songwriting and performances that make up the songs. None of this has been worked on face-to-face at all. They are working towards mind-melding to become one hive mind, but in the meantime, all communication is performed using binary code and emojis.

They are a completely independent venture who write, perform, engineer, mix and master their own music. All socials, the website, all designs, logos, videos and other such stuff are also produced by us. Maybe many elements could be done better by others, but then we'd stop learning new skills and have to rely on others. The exceptions to this are two bonus remixes at the end of our album and our EPK (Electronic Press Kit), with which we got help from our favourite YouTube creator/curator of good taste in music outside the mainstream, Slump (from Sophomore Slump's SlumpLife channel) - thanks mate.

If you want to learn more about us, then listen to the music, follow our socials or read the EPK .

Our statement on Geo-blocking music

Believe us, we thought long and hard about this. We started by thinking, “Well, a load of people are blocking their music from Russia & Belarus already, so should we do that?”  Then we started thinking about which other countries’ policies we disagree with. Well, we disagree fundamentally with the policies of the state of Israel, I mean, it’s difficult to think rationally about the scale of human suffering being inflicted in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon and not disagree with what’s happening. What about the USA? I mean there’s a whole catalogue of things happening internationally and domestically that make me fear for that country’s soul. Then there are a whole lot of countries where the Government policies and laws deeply impact women, LGBTQ communities and other minorities of many different types. And we’ve only just scratched the surface. I mean, if you look at what we’ve touched on already and then thought “Well, you’d have to block every nation that assists those regimes either militarily or by trading with them”, then I’m not sure you would have many nations left. We wouldn't be able to listen to our own music in the two countries where we live, for sure. Plus, the list would be constantly changing and impossible to manage. And we also realised that in every country, there are people who disagree with their government. Sometimes they can declare that openly. Sometimes it is dangerous to do so. It is these people whom we want to listen to music like ours. Let’s be honest, we aren’t going to attract the likes of MAGA supporters, Israeli settlers, angry ‘gammons’ or homophobes with our music and our lyrics. So we’re not geo-blocking because if there’s a young woman in Tel Aviv and a mother in Moscow who hate what their governments are doing, or a gay teen in Alabama who feels isolated and scared, hears a song about love and light: well, if music and lyrics can help them all through their day, then that is a good thing. So that’s our thoughts. Other opinions are available and valid.  Love  Eros & GlassTear.
